Happy September!

The county has offered to conduct a flu shot clinic at the Community Center. This clinic will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Community Center in the Arts and Crafts room from 11am to 2pm. The cost is FREE with a Medicare card (lots of other insurances are accepted too). No appointment is necessary, just show up. Following your vaccination, join us for lunch at 12:30pm! (more details can be found on page 2 of this newsletter).

Monthly Luncheon

Friday, September 30, 2011 will be the Monthly Luncheon! The menu (subject to change) is chicken fried steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, roll, coleslaw, cookies and milk. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm. There will be a blood pressure clinic at Noon sponsored by Utah Hospice Specialists. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 801-614-9658 and leaving a message. Reservations must be made no later than Tuesday, September 27, 2011. There is a requested donation of $2.50 per person for lunch. There will not be Bingo in the month of September, but don’t forget the flu shot clinic from 11am to 2pm!

October Monthly Bus Tour

Saturday, October 1, we will visit Oktoberfest at Snowbird Resort! The bus will leave at 11am and return around 4:30pm. The cost is $2 per person, with lunch on your own. Oktoberfest is a unique celebration held at Snowbird Ski Resort. There are vendors, entertainment, food, and more! Don’t miss out on this fun day! Payment is due at time of reservation, and is not refundable if canceled.

October Monthly Bus Tour

Tuesday, October 25 we will be attending Witchapalooza at Gardner Village. This is a dinner theatre with an amazing dinner (roast baron of beef, garlic herb new potatoes, chef’s vegetables, green salad, sourdough bread, pumpkin pie cake and apple raspberry juice), an amazing show (Taming of the Brew), and a showcase of Utah’s best entertainers!! The bus will leave at 5pm and return around 10:30pm. The cost is $31 per person, payable at time of reservation. In order to secure tickets for this event, the registration deadline for this tour is Friday, October 14, 2011. Don’t miss out on an evening filled of great food, great fun, and great entertainment!!!!

Happy Spring

Heritage Days is quickly approaching! The Senior Citizen kickoff luncheon will be held June 17, 2011 at 12:30 at the Community Center. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 801-614-9658 and leaving a message. Don’t miss out on this fun celebration!

May Movie Night

May’s movie night will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011. Come enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a showing of “Unstoppable”, a movie based on a true story about a runaway train. This is a great movie you won’t want to miss! The cost is $5 per person, payable at time of reservation and is not refundable if cancelled. Movie night will begin at 5pm at the Community Center.
